Join us for an Alumni Row on Friday of Thanksgiving weekend, 2024.

This event will be a fun opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate our Eugene-area rowing community. The event is open to all alumni, including former athletes & former team parents and families, from South Eugene Rowing Club, OAR JC, and Eugene Rowing Club.

• Matt Wheeler: ‘04 grad and senior national team member

• Jade Chamness: ‘02 grad and current ERC board member

• Craig Gerlach: 1997-2002 head coach

• Josh Baker: Current ERC head coach

What to expect:
Join us for a day of connection and community! We’ll start the morning with a light breakfast, followed by a brief presentation from our Head Coach about the team's progress and vision for the future.

After breakfast, we’ll hit the water. Former athletes—both rowers and coxswains—can choose their own lineups, or let us help build them. Our entire fleet will be available for the event, and current ERC athletes will help fill out the boats. For those who prefer not to row, launch rides will be available for a fun experience from a power boat.

We’ll also host an alumni panel featuring notable ERC alums like Timmy Parsons (current Yale lightweight) and Matt Wheeler (‘09 Brown alum), who will share their journeys in college rowing and on the national team. We’ll also take time to share stories from the past. We invite everyone to bring photos and memorabilia to share.

We’ll also host an oar raffle, offering participants a chance to take home a piece of Eugene Rowing Club history.
